Thursday means farmers' market day, which in turn means something
reeeaaallly good for lunch. Today I bought this baguette thingie from the French baker: it's topped with bleu cheese, sliced pears, and walnuts. I ran it under the broiler for a minute while I chopped up some heirloom tomato and a little romaine for a side. My only regret was not having a glass of wine with it; but had I indulged, my afternoon would have been more nap, less gym. Self-discipline is its own reward. Or not.
